Open the administration page (by default this will be www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/index.php). If you don’t already have a page created which you would like to function as the home page, navigate to the Pages section and create a new page. You can name it whatever you want, but the name will show in your menu, so you’ll probably want to name it “Home”.

Once the “Home” page is created, navigate to the Settings section, then the Reading section. You should see some radio buttons where WordPress by default will have the first button set, which reads “Your latest posts”. Select the second radio button, “A static page (select below)” and you’ll now be able to select a page as your default home page, as opposed to the site opening to blog posts. You’ll also be able to select a page that the blog posts are routed to. You could, for instance, create a page named “Tutorials” and route the blog posts to that page, which you see being done on this site.

Select to Save Changes and you’re all done.
